Brown and hard after being dried in the sun, this clove flower bud has a strong, pungent flavor. Used for its therapeutic and culinary virtues, this spice has been used in Asia for more than two millennia. It was introduced to Europe in the Middle Ages and became as famous as pepper.

Most of the world’s clove crops are used to make Indonesian cigarettes. This particular tree is delicate and takes almost 8 years to produce fruit. The flower buds are harvested before they open, and the crop is left to dry until it turns a brownish color.

1 – CLOVE AGAINST STOMACH ACHE

A clove infusion helps combat various digestive problems, particularly stomach ache and bloating.
To prepare it, infuse 4 or 5 cloves for around ten minutes in a large cup of boiling water.
