A simple and economical solution to descale your washing machine is to use citric acid . Citric acid has a descaling and degreasing action . To use it, pour 200 g of citric acid into the detergent drawer of the washing machine and run it empty at maximum temperature. To keep limescale away, repeat the operation every 3 months.
