Here’s how to clean the shower tray to eliminate mold in the corners

Citric acid
As an alternative to vinegar, you can also use citric acid , which is a godsend for removing mold and even limescale. We remind you, in fact, that it is often used to thoroughly clean household appliances!

Mix 150 grams of citric acid in 1 liter of water, then pour this mixture directly onto the shower tray and onto the corners affected by mold. After that, leave it on for a few minutes and rub with a non-abrasive sponge to remove the dirt: your shower will be like new!

Lemon
After the ingredients already mentioned, how could I not mention lemon, which has a great degreasing action and can be an excellent ally to say goodbye to mold in the shower?

You can use it in two ways. The first is to mix half a glass of lemon juice with 4 tablespoons of baking soda to form a sort of paste, then apply it along the surface of the shower tray. Then scrub with a toothbrush or non-abrasive sponge and rinse.

If you want to focus more on the moldy corners, then we advise you to filter the juice of 1 large lemon , then pour it onto a cloth which you will place directly on the affected areas. Leave it on for about 1 hour and rinse thoroughly with a sponge to remove the last residue: your shower will be cleaner than ever!

Cotton tip
This tip is particularly suitable for shower corners , as it aims to eliminate the black mold stain. To do this, equip yourself with:

400 ml of water
2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide
1 tablespoon of fine salt
2 tablespoons of baking soda
Cotton, as needed
Start by dissolving the baking soda and salt in water in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then add the hydrogen peroxide, turn off the heat and wait until the mixture becomes lukewarm so as not to burn yourself.

Next, completely submerge the cotton balls or cotton pads in the solution and, without wringing them out, place them along the area where the mold is present to form a sort of barrier. Leave it on for about an hour , then move the balls and rinse: the black stain from the corners of your shower will be nothing more than a bad memory!
How to prevent the formation of dirt, limescale and mold?
So far we have seen how to clean the shower tray and remove limescale or mold stains from the corners of the shower cabin. But how can you prevent the formation of dirt, limescale and mold ? Let’s see it together!

First of all, we recommend that you always rinse the window, tiles and tray after showering, in order to remove any soap residue that could stain the surfaces in the long term.

After that, it is recommended to carefully dry the shower cubicle (tray, glass) because the main cause of limescale and mold is the excessive presence of humidity. To do this, you can also use a squeegee to remove any traces of water.

Finally, we suggest that you always ventilate the bathroom and use a fan heater during the shower and for the next half hour in order to absorb excess humidity.

Warnings:
Our tips are harmless and delicate, so they may not “work” for stubborn black mold. In this case, we recommend that you contact a specialist. Always use gloves and a mask when you want to clean mold stains.
