Mix the liquid ingredients together. In a big bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and applesauce.
Mix the wet and dry ingredients together. Mix the flour with the wet ingredients until they are well blended. Mix the diced apples gently.
Make the fritters: Put one spoonful of batter onto the baking sheet, leaving some space between each mound. Cook in the oven for 10 minutes, then take it out.
Prepare the glaze. In a little bowl, mix all the ingredients for the glaze.
Glaze and Broil: Put some sauce on each fritter and allow it to run down the edges. Cook under high heat for 2-4 minutes, turning the baking sheet every minute, until the glaze becomes caramelized.
Complete the glazing process. Spread the rest of the glaze evenly on the cooked fritters. Leave the baking sheet untouched until the glaze becomes hard, which should take around 15 minutes.
