Trust me, we didn’t waste any time demolishing this when my mom made it during those busy days

1 lb ground beef
8 oz noodles (e.g., linguine or spaghetti)
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for added heat)
2 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnishing)
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. While the noodles are cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper during cooking.
3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
4. Lower the heat to medium. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and optional chili flakes. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the beef to absorb the flavors.
5. Toss the cooked noodles into the beef mixture, mixing well to ensure the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Variations & Tips
For a healthier version, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. Vegetarians might substitute the ground beef with crumbled tofu or a plant-based ground meat alternative. To enhance the meal with more texture and flavor, consider adding vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas during the cooking process.
