Sausage Cheese Scones

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
3/4 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add the cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
